A trip to South Beach Miami will undoubtedly be an amazing experience. With beautiful white sand beaches, an endless supply of golden sunlight, and one of the world’s liveliest atmospheres, you will want to soak up every minute of it. But should you have the luxury of an extended trip in South Beach, you should use that time to arrange day trips to the many wonderful attractions that surround South Beach. To help you plan an amazing trip, we have included our suggestions for days trips below.

The Everglades

In just an hour, you can be at one of America’s most exhilarating national parks. You can journey around the Everglades’ expansive swamp on an airboat — and expect to see all forms of wildlife. This trip is not for the faint of heart because you will definitely come face to face with a few gators. The tours around the Everglades have some amazing offerings — you can cradle a baby alligator in your arms, tour the Miccosukee Indian village, and so much more.

The Florida Keys

If you love Miami’s beaches, you will love this even more. Just an hour and a half away are the Florida Keys. Here you can take private boat tours, go fishing, stop at the legendary Tiki Bar Holiday Isle, and if you are feeling adventurous, stay the night in a houseboat.

Fort Lauderdale Beach

Only 40 minutes away is an escape from Miami’s rowdy beach crowd. The beach’s strip is a family-friendly destination: with mom-and-pop ice cream shops to plenty of water activities, there is something for everyone. For those planning a visit between May and October, you can see the beach populated with turtles — a truly spectacular sight to behold.

Naples

For a serene escape, head to Naples, which is just a two-hour drive from Miami. After a few nights of Miami madness, you may be craving something calmer. In that case, Naples, which is on the west coast of Florida, is your answer. With an abundance of cute boutiques, artsy shops, and a quaint downtown vibe, it will provide a nice contrast to the hustle and bustle in Miami.

Miami is a wonderful city but is also in proximity to so many other wonderful attractions. If you have the time, make sure you check out one of these amazing destinations.
