This February in Miami we’ve got food, wine, yachts and two of Florida’s biggest art festivals. Party-goers shouldn’t miss the GroundUp Music Festival, while in Little Havana the Gay8 Festival will be putting on a free street party. See all the details below.

GroundUP Music Festival
Now in its third year, GroundUP has already positioned itself as an event worth keeping an eye on. This year the festival’s headline is Snarky Puppy, who’ll be performing their yet-to-be-released next album for the first time. Other big names include Lalah Hathaway, Andrew Bird, David Crosby, and Susana Baca. Tickets start at $85 for single day entries or $225 for a three-day pass.

GroundUP 2019 will take place from February 8 to the 10th. More information can be found here.

Art Wynwood
Works from over 70 local and international galleries will be on display during this year’s Art Wynwood. This is one of Miami’s most prestigious art festivals and will take place over the Presidents’ Day weekend, from February 14 to 18. Find out more here.

Miami International Map Fair
Explore the wonderful world of cartography at the Miami International Map Fair, which will run over February 2-3. Marvel at maps, gawk at globes and breathe in the smell of historic books at this celebration of geographic precision. Over 40 of the world’s most renown map collectors will be in town for the event, with tickets starting at $15 for single day entry. Get all the details here.

Miami Yacht Show
Once you’ve stocked up on maps, plot a course to the Miami Yacht Show between February 14-18. Located on Biscayne Bay between the Venetian and MacArthur Causeways, the show will feature both new and pre-owned luxury yachts, along with accessories and other marine products. They’ll also have displays of super-yachts from some of the world’s top designers. Even if you’re not in the market for a floating display of opulence, the show still makes for a great day out. Find out more here.

Miami International Boat Show
While the Miami Yacht Show is focused exclusively on the finer things in life, the Miami International Boat Show will have all things related to the wide world of boating. Products from over 170 marine technology brands will be on offer this year, including products for powerboats, sail and more. Experts from across the world will also be presenting seminars on boating, ranging from beginner classes to tips for even the most advanced aficionados. Tickets will set you back $25 for the day or $45 for two day passes. The event itself will take place in the Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin from February 14-18. Get all the details here.

Gay8 Festival
America’s largest Latinx LGBTQ celebration will take place in Little Havana’s Calle Ocho on February 17. This one-day event will encompass three blocks of Little Havana from SW14th to SW17th avenues and will feature an electric mix of events and live entertainment. Along with the street party, there’s also fashion shows, street theater and more. Don’t miss the Best Miami Sandwich Competition, or take a peek at the adorable dog obstacle course at Doggie Village.

South Beach Wine and Food Festival

The South Beach Wine and Food Festival (SOBEWFF) began in 1997 as a one-day showcase featuring both national and international wines paired with local cuisine. It has since grown into a five-day extravaganza attracting those who seek a culinary adventure from all over the world and a star-studded cast of chefs. Ticket prices depend on the type of events you attend. Thereares no “general admission” type tickets for purchase as each event is a separate occurrence. It is best to map out the events you want to attend before you arrive, so you knowthe exact costs and locations. We strongly recommend you purchase your tickets before you arrive at SOBEWFF. If you prefer, there are ticket packages available for purchase. And don’t worry, your ticket covers all food and drinks available at the event — just bring your appetite.
