Winter Party Festival
An estimated 10,000 visitors from across the country and the globe will be pouring into Miami this March for a week of partying and live entertainment at this year’s Winter Party Festival. One of the largest LGBTQ festivals in the country, since 1994 this event has grown from a low-key beach-side affair to a party that swallows up half the city. Events related to the festival will be taking place across Miami from February 27 to March 5. Entry prices vary depending on events, and all details are available here.
Miami Film Festival
If you’d rather kick back with a flick, then meander over to the Miami Film Festival. From March 1 to 10, this festival will be putting on new films from upcoming talent from over 40 countries. Prices start at $13, with screenings taking place at venues across Miami. Check the official site for more information.
Dade Heritage Days

Take a trip to Asia for two days at the Asian Culture Festival at the Fruit & Spice Park. Taking place over March 2-3, this event will feature food and entertainment, along with art and crafts. The event itself is organized by the Thai-American Association of South Florida, and is aimed at promoting cultural understanding and diversity. More information can be found here.
Carnaval Miami
Starting on March 2 and running through to the 10th, Carnaval is less of an event in and of itself, and more of a collection of related festivals in and around Little Havana. The first two events, Carnaval on the Mile and the Cork & Fork food festival, both kick off on March 2-3. Carnaval concludes with the iconic, and wildly popular Calle Ocho Music Festival on March 10. Get all the details here.
Miami Sailing Week
In one of Miami’s largest sporting events of the year, Miami Sailing Week will bring talent from across the world to Florida from March 4-10. More than 200 sailors will be participating this year, not to mention the thousands of visitors who crowd the coastline to see competitors outsmart, outmaneuver and out-sail their rivals. Line the coast of Biscayne Bay with onlookers, or take a boat out to see the action from the water. Either way, find more details here.
Miami Open
